FSMKCamps present a different prespective to technology. As much as we love technology, we also care deeply about our society and the impact of technology in our society. Our camps not only focus on imparting technology, but also has various talks about a technology focussed society and how every individual can contribute towards a safer and ethical techno-society.

FSMKCamps are residential in nature, where we take care of stay, food and other things during the days of the camp.

These are annual technical workshops conducted by Free Software Movement Karnataka.

The workshop is conducted for, but not restricted to, college students and Free Software/Technology enthusiasts.

We have always started from basics and even now we want to consciously keep syllabus light.

Apart from the topics that your track will tech, you will also have various sessions on Free(dom) software, Open hardware, Privacy, Digital economy.

Yes, you need to carry your own laptop. We will not be able to provide a computer in case if you don't have one.

FSMK camps are residential in nature. You will be sharing a hostel room in the college itself along with other participants.

No. All rooms are shared among other participants.

Yes, FSMK will take care of the food arrangements throughout the duration of the camp.

You are welcome to arrive at the venue post noon on 19th Jan and we can provide accommodation until the morning of 25th. Food will be available from dinner of 19th , but we cannot arrange breakfast for the 25th.

Yes, all participants will get a participation certificate duly signed by FSMK and Principal/HoD , PESCE Mandya.

The registration fee include workshop cost, certificate and a free software kit which includes FSMK T-shirt, Stickers, Badges, GNU/Linux operating system and much more.

Sorry , we will not be able to refund the amount as we plan our resources accordingly.

Yes, the workshop is just the beginning. FSMK will, with the cooperation of you and your friends, set up a GNU/Linux Users Group in your college. From then on, we will help you hold regular events in your college with help from your department. FSMK also holds other events, celebrations, and hack-a-thons which you can participate in.
